George Mason University’s sustainability research aims to foster the development and adoption of practices that are economically sound, environmentally sensitive and socially responsible. Mason seeks to be internationally recognized in areas such as climate change, energy efficiency and renewable energy, water and ecosystem preservation, sustainable development and the built environment, sustainable infrastructure, societal impacts of sustainable practices, sustainability policy development, and human health and well being.
